Net Zero Week 2021 (July 17th to 23rd) is an awareness precursor to the much-anticipated COP26, which will be held in Glasgow in November. COP26 will address climate change – recognised as the biggest challenge facing mankind.
Achieving net-zero by 2050 will stop climate change. On the 27th of June 2019, the UK became the first major economy in the world to pass laws to end its contribution to climate change. The legislation committed the four nations of the UK to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions to Net Zero by 2050. This target is achievable but challenging – however, if we do not start now, it will be too late.
Companies, especially those that manufacture, or are part of a manufacturing supply chain, must take responsibility now by committing to carbon accounting and carbon reduction.
How can companies adapt to do this? What tools and techniques are available to help? Who can support the manufacturing industry transition to low carbon and a net zero future? We can.
Pro Enviro has a full set of sophisticated on-line carbon accounting tools to measure, and report on, your carbon emissions. Our highly experienced consultants have the knowledge and practical skills to help you reduce your carbon footprint, and work with you to create your own unique Low Carbon Strategy.
The benefits of carbon reduction go far beyond legislation and simply ‘playing your part’: you can also reduce costs, make your company attractive to larger organisations that need to report on SCOPE 3 emissions as part of their own climate change reduction plans and inspire with your own vision of a zero-carbon future.
